Membership

There are 5 categories of memberships in MBBA:

  1. Ordinary
  2. Life
  3. Associate Member
  4. Honorary Member
  5. Corporate Members
DESCRIPTION OF MEMBERSHIP FEES (RM)
Ordinary membership is open to Malaysians aged 21 years and above, with an interest in biosafety and/or biosecurity. An ordinary member has the right to vote, hold office, propose or second nominations and resolutions in MBBA. 30
An ordinary member shall be a Life member on payment of the subscription fee for the life membership. A Life member has the right to vote, hold office, propose or second nominations and resolutions in MBBA. 300 (one time payment)
Associate membership is open to non-Malaysians residing or working in Malaysia or Malaysians residing outside Malaysia with an interest in biosafety and biosecurity. 30
Corporate membership is open to organizations interested in the objectives and advancements of the goals of MBBA and wish to contribute financially to MBBA. A corporate member shall serve as sustaining sponsor for MBBA, and therefore shall be acknowledged in all publications and functions of MBBA. A maximum of five (5) employees is allowed with the subscription for corporate membership. 300
Honorary membership may be conferred at the discretion of the committee to persons who have rendered extraordinary service to the field of biosafety. All members of MBBA are entitled to attend the meetings of MBBA and to receive all notices and publications issued, except those relating only to Executive Council’s matters.

  • A one-time entrance fee of RM20 is charged.

  • An applicant that has been approved (upon payment of the respective fees) shall be entitled to all privileges and rights of membership of MBBA.

Payment Instructions of Entrance Fee and Annual Subscription Fee

All payment should either be made by cash or cheque.

If you bank in cash into the account, kindly fax or email the registration form together with the bank in slip as proof of payment, with your name and address.

For payment by cheque, please make your cheque payable to

Indicate your name on the reverse side of the cheque and please send your registration form together with the cheque to:
